This is a Great Book. The Book of Esther tells of of the almost near destruction of the Jews because of an Evil man named Haman who was the adviser to King Xerxes. Esther risked her life to save her people and her family. Esther had a cousin named Mordecai who was loyal to the King. Mordecai over heard 2 of the king’s eunuchs plot to kill the King. Mordecai informed Esther to relay the message to the King who investigated the claim which was found to be true. Later this act by Mordecai would save his life and he would replace Haman, who would be impaled by a pole that was intent for Mordecai. Esther and Mordecai had favor with the King but most importantly with God. The Jews were saved, The Jews celebrated their deliverance with the feast of Purim.
