I learned that God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the call. As the Lord saw that the Israelites were living a sinful life, God placed judges to help keep the Israelites back under His authority and rule. When God called Gideon the Angel of the LORD made Gideon aware that He will be with him in the battle and directed Gideon to strike Midian down in such a manor. When we submit to the Lord’s will and not our own God will direct our hearts and guard our path to His perfect peace. (Judges 6:24)” So Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and called it The LORD is Peace.” also known as Yahweh-Shalom.
We are to constantly seek the LORDS presence and there we will find Perfect peace, He will proclaim Victory over our lives by His will and good doing!

Ruth is a beautiful love story sharing the love of Christ, who is in her lineage, to the love of not only Israel but to gentiles alike. As Ruth chose her path to be loyal to her mother-in law, Ruth was able to overcome the bitterness that rooted in Mara with a blessing (Ruth 4:14,15) “The woman said to Naomi, “blessed be the LORD, who has not left you without a family redeemer today. May His name be well known in Israel. He will renew you life and sustain you in your old age. Indeed your daughter-in-law who loves you is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”
Jesus chose to bless us and refill the love we once had to the next generation, rejoicing in the new life ahead that was gently placed on our lap. (referring to v.16)

I love that!  When we submit to God’s will and not our will, God will direct our hearts and guard our path to His perfect peace.  That is a lovely picture of God’s loving guidance, thanks!
