The children of Israel continued to disobey and they were punished for their sins, such as following other gods or in immorality. They fought a lot of battles in between them. They will pray to God for help and he will give them a leader or a judge but they will only obey for a while or until the judge died and then they will go back to doing whatever they wanted to do. It seemed like the Israelite forgot their Covenant with God, how much he loved them, how he delivered them from the Egyptians and how he brought them to the promised land.
