This showed the victory that the Israelites had by obeying God’s plan and delivering them into the promised land instead of continuing wandering by following their own desires like the old generation. There is a long summary of how they conquered the different areas of the land and how Joshua led the attacks and how they won because of their faith in Christ and it leads to the division of the promised land and which tribes would receive which parts of the lands. This book shows what can happen if we first listen to the voice of God and then secondly obey it, because just doing one doesn’t always result in the second one happening.
