The book of Exodus was written by Moses. It covers the when Moses the led the Israelites out of Egypt. We are told how God hardened Pharaohs’ heart so he would not release them. God brought many plagues and curses upon the Egyptian’s but it was not until the first born sons of all the Egyptians were killed by the Angel of Death that he finally released them. It is Exodus where God gave Moses the 10 Commandments. The people sinned against God at Mt. .Sanai when they tired of waiting for Moses to come down the mountain and made and worshiped the Golden calf.
Exodus shows God as a deliverer when He delivered them from bondage
