Deuteronomy is the final book of Moses. It gets its name from the Greek deuteros, which means “second”, and nomos, meaning “Law”. Here we have a second giving of the law a new expounding of the new generation. It is not the giving of a new law, but an explication , a giving in detail, that which was already given. It is a book of transition. In Deuteronomy we have the wonderful words of Gods Love. Moses was 120 years old when he died. He is the only man God buried. He was raised and glorified and he appeared on the Mount of Transfiguration. Luke 9:30-31.
